Cbc searchlight - 2018
When CC Trubiak and I started writing "Raven" in 2015 we knew it was a good song. A special song. CC wanted to tell a story about how we are all made up of both darkness and light. How we often hide one part of ourselves to fit in, or because we are ashamed of it. Raven encourages the listener to be vulnerable. It was an honour to help him bring this story to life through song.
Even though “Raven” didn’t win CBC Searchlight, we are proud to have achieved a spot in the top 10! This experience was invaluable and life changing.
